Master's Thesis Title:"The Green Burial Movement: Reworking the Relationship between Death and Society"

Research Interests: Marisa is broadly interested in gender, race and ethnicity, and the sociology of sport. Her dissertation project is focused on female student-athletes and their experiences with Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) opportunities. She has previously participated in research exploring opinions on green burial among older American adults, and the difference in coverage among male and female professional soccer players in Sport Illustrated.
